Formed in the spring of 2015 The Village MCC is a vibrant church community worshipping in Brighton. And this is a great place for the work of MCC! Brighton has a huge LGBT community, one of the largest in Europe. The Village MCC offers a safe space where everyone is fully affirmed in their sexuality and gender identity. We are all children of God – without exception.
The church was formed by LGBTQ+ Christians, their families, friends, and allies, to primarily serve and support the LGBTQ+ communities of Brighton and Hove. People come from all over Sussex to worship with us.
Church members are active in the larger community, offering emergency aid and support to the homeless and vulnerably housed. Our ministers, Rev. Michael and Rev. Peta, both offer spiritual direction and pastoral care. We worship in Brighton, on St. James street, every Sunday evening at 6pm.
You are welcome to come and experience for yourself the inclusive spirit of The Village MCC. Everyone is welcome, and you never know, it might be the home that’s been waiting for you.
